They are sold in packs of 4, and each u joint requires four clips. Using these clips instead of the C clips that come with the u joint reduce the likelihood of the cap spitting out when the ear of the axle shaft augers out. This is the difference between sitting on the side of the trail replacing parts, and making it home. Don't be fooled by cheap imitations! It is very important that these clips
