"Smoke and spice notes in this wine are prominent but mingle easily into earthier tones of bramble, forest floor and iron. Made from 100% Syrah, it's richly concentrated and bursts with cassis and black cherry flavors. The palate is silky but freshly balanced, edged by fine, chalky tannins that penetrate through a long finish. Lovely already it will improve through 2036 and likely hold further."
